I'm Cheketa, the Creator and Founder of Singles On Lifelong Adventures.

Residing in Atlanta, Georgia, I'm a Researcher and Blogger whose infatuation with travel begin in 2002 during my junior year of college.  While most students were driving south to Daytona Beach for Spring Break, my friends and I headed out west to Venice Beach.  We flew to Las Vegas and after spending a few days there, took a road trip to Los Angeles.  It was my first visit to Nevada and California.  Back then, L.A. was my favorite city.  That would change after experiencing "new" cities like New York and New Orleans.

In 2003, those same friends and I rang in the new year in New York City with Dick Clark and millions of other tourists.  After crossing this off my bucket list, I don't ever need to spend New Year's Eve in Times Square again. That Fall, I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Spanish.  Although most language majors study abroad, the same didn't happen for me.  With two failed attempts to study in Guadalajara, Mexico under my belt, I let go of the idea of studying abroad before graduation.  It took a while, but eventually the old yearning returned.  Nine years after graduating from college, I decided to blow the dust off my Spanish degree and combine my profession as a Researcher with my passion for travel. The result was an intensive solo study abroad adventure in Barcelona, Spain. The experience changed my life!  Singles On Lifelong Adventures was born out of that life changing experience.
