SOLA Travel Tips

Singles On Lifelong Adventures is an advocate for responsible solo travel.  Since taking my first solo trip in 2009, I've received tons requests for tips on solo travel.  Traveling solo can be very intimidating and should not be taken lightly.  Travelers should always utilize their best judgement when traveling solo or otherwise.  My personal experience is that with proper planning, solo travel can be a very rewarding experience.

SOLA TRAVEL TIP #1
Self confidence is key! If you don't like you, you won't enjoy traveling solo with you.

SOLA TRAVEL TIP #2
Stay out of the clubs!  Save the club for a return trip with friends.  Here's why...if you're inebriated, there's no one to carry you back to your hotel.  I've only seen bartenders call cabs for people in the movies.  Besides...a club is a club is a club.

SOLA TRAVEL TIP #3
Stick to the well lit, well traveled sections of town!  No matter where I go, I always encounter people in search of the "authentic" travel experience.  There's always someone who wants to see the "real" part of town.  Where the locals at?  Remember, this isn't your city.  If something goes awry, you're on your own.
